PET TRIMMING AND GROOMING COURSE
What is Grooming? 
Grooming is a fairly new concept, understood as the activity of caring for, trimming, and brushing a pet’s coat, styling it into different looks, and enhancing a pet’s outward appearance and hygiene. Thanks to grooming, a pet’s outward appearance improves and changes — their coat becomes smoother, sheds less, and they experience fewer skin conditions.
So how long does it take to learn Grooming?
– The average course runs from 2 to 3 months, giving you time to go from theory to hands-on practice, with room to think creatively — helping you build a stronger direction within the pet service industry.
– Intensive course (requires focusing on consecutive days in a row to shorten the study time, with more practice than theory). The intensive course runs 15 days to 1 month, depending on each individual’s learning pace.

LEVEL C (Basic Course) 15,000,000 VND
Pet (for dogs and cats)
– Recognizing dog and cat breeds, and which breeds commonly need grooming services
– Handling common situations in grooming (restlessness, biting, sudden illness, etc.)
– Getting familiar with grooming tools, categorizing them, and using them effectively
– Theory + hands-on practice getting used to unfamiliar dogs and cats, and how to hold them during grooming
– Theory + hands-on practice cleaning eyes, ears, and nails for dogs and cats
– Theory + hands-on practice bathing and massaging dogs and cats
– Theory + hands-on practice expressing anal glands while bathing
– Theory + hands-on practice on proper drying and brushing techniques in grooming
– Theory + hands-on practice detangling fur while minimizing damage to a pet’s coat
– Guidance on using clippers properly while shaving and trimming
– Proper technique for holding and using scissors
– Overview of body structure and standard proportions for trimming and creating grooming styles (pet style)
– Practicing scissor work on a practice dog mannequin, and how to build a standard frame model in grooming (pet style)
– Practicing scissor work on real dogs, cutting and styling in grooming (pet style)
– Creative practice applying techniques to different breeds (Poodle, Pomeranian, Alaskan Malamute, Samoyed, cats, etc.)
– Theory of dye color principles
– Basic hands-on coat-dyeing practice
* Instructor evaluation of students: technical application of clippers and scissors, trimming technique, dyeing, and completion time in Grooming
LEVEL B — ASIA (Advanced Course) 18,000,000 VND
– Theory + hands-on practice brushing teeth for dogs and cats
– Learning creative sketching based on standard Poodle proportions
– Theory of the color wheel
– Theory + hands-on practice mixing colors, categorizing color groups, and artistic dyeing
– Creative sketching and artistic color combinations, dyeing based on a design sketched on a practice dog mannequin, Asia Style Pet
– Creative shaping at standard proportions on foam models
– Theory + hands-on practice: international cut styles (Lion Cut, The Lamb Cut, Bob Cut, etc.)
