There’s no fixed number of times a cat’s ears need cleaning. Cats don’t need their ears cleaned to a spotless degree. That said, you should check their ears at least once a month to make sure nothing unusual is happening. If you notice any unusual signs, see a veterinarian right away for a more thorough evaluation. If your cat develops an ear infection, you’ll need to clean its ears weekly, especially after the infection has been treated.
